With the holiday season upon us, we know that Rock the Earth fans are looking forward to holiday cheer, hopefully slowing down, spending time with friends and family, and the traditional giving of gifts. In this edition of Rock the Earth Notes, we update you on our latest work on Colorado’s Roan Plateau, put out our initial call for 2016 Planet Defender nominations, and remind you about our Colorado Dine Out for Earth 3 (with a save the date for California Dine Out for Earth 2). Since the weather has grown colder, we have some great tips for saving money in our monthly Key of Green piece, as well as highlighting our wonderful volunteers and Member Benefits.  Finally, we announce our December Auctions (which includes another SONOS smart speaker – this one signed by the members of WILCO) and give thanks to some wonderful foundation partners. We close the edition with a What Rocks Your Earth interview with Dango Rose, a musician-environmentalist from the quickly-rising Colorado band Elephant Revival.

As we approach the end of the year, we take great stock of the many accomplishments the organization has achieved in 2015, largely thanks to our generous supporters and hard-working volunteers. Next month, we’ll be highlighting those achievements in the January edition of Rock the Earth Notes as well as introducing you to our new Executive Director.

Happy Holidays!
