  Our Mountains Matter - Help Colorado's Mountains, Forests and Canyons For
the second time in two years, Rock the Earth will be partnering with
The Wilderness Society on a regional campaign to permanently protect
four of Colorado’s most special, natural places. Colorado’s iconic
mountains, forests and canyons are a critical part of what make the
state great. They are why many call the state “home” and why millions
more visit every year. Special landscapes like the Holy Cross Wilderness, Hermosa Creek, the Arkansas River and the San Juan Mountains matter to people around the world. MORE>

present our 2013 Planet Defenders! The winners in the three categories
are: Artist: Linkin Park; Community Leader: James Hansen; Grassroots Activist: Caroline Cannon “For
seven years, Rock the Earth has recognized the work of some very
special people who dedicate their time and passion to defending our
planet,” said Marc Ross, Executive Director and founder of Rock the

Illinois Rocks Earth Day Weekend! |

 The folks in Illinois sure do LOVE Earth Day! Events are being held on Saturday, April 20, in Chicago and DeKalb to benefit Rock the Earth. In Chicago, popular live music hangout venue aliveOne is hosting a Jim James pre-show party in which a pair of tickets to the sold out show will be raffled off, rare, limited edition Umphrey's McGee posters will be sold, and drink specials will all benefit Rock the Earth. Meanwhile, in DeKalb, Goose Doctor, Safe Haven, and Juniper Mays will be playing a benefit show at Otto's! So go celebrate Earth Day and Rock the Earth this weekend!
