Park Service Gets it Wrong on Snowmobiles Again

Once again, Rock the Earth has taken a stand to defend the nation's oldest National Park from destructive snowmobiles that were originally to be banned in 2002 after years of study and hundreds of thousands of public comments.  This week, the Park Service requested comments on their latest plan to be implemented starting the 2012-2013 Winter Season which would allow snowmobiles to continue to operate under certain conditions. RtE filed a formal comment letter in favor of a competing alternative which would have resulted in the phasing out of snowmobiles in favor of snow coaches.  To read our letter, GO HERE >
