Although somewhat overshadowed by our work during Earth Month (April), one of our favorite months each year is May. It’s the time of year when we pack up a van with some awesome volunteers and head out on the road to education & activate tens of thousands of people across the country. This year is no exception – as you will read in this month’s issue, our 12th Summer Education & Outreach Tour kicks off with a bang, with Rock the Earth once again hitting the festival circuit as well as with some of our favorite musical partners.

In this edition you’ll also read about our latest work to stop the expansion of Colorado’s Pinon Canyon and we’ll give you an update on one of the most controversial environmental issues of our time: fracking. Meanwhile, you’ll also get a preview of our stunning new Membership Gifts, read about one of our long-time volunteers in the Volunteer Jam & Highlight, and find out how you can XXX in our monthly Key of Green article. If you have plans to hit any festivals, you should definitely check out our Discount Festival Tickets for RtE members. We round out this issue with a What Rocks Your Earth interview with 2015 Planet Defender Award winner Xavier Rudd.

It’s the start of another active summer for Rock the Earth. We hope to cross paths with as many of you as possible this summer!
