In 2004, when Rock the Earth was just starting to interface with the music industry, there was one band that supported our efforts from the get-go. It was Boulder, Colorado’s The String Cheese Incident, the bluegrass-influenced jamgrass band that got its own start in the mountains of Colorado, in which several musicians with environmental activism backgrounds came together to create one of the most popular bands on the scene today. From that time over a decade ago, SCI has supported Rock the Earth’s efforts to educate and activate the public on critical environmental issues and protect some of our most threatened places.

This past December, we sat down with some of the members of the band to discuss the band’s views on music, activism, and the band’s close relationship with Rock the Earth. You can view the results HERE.

We thank SCI, Madison House, and all of the “Friends of Cheese” that have supported us over the past decade. Here’s to another ten years of Defending the Planet One Beat at a Time together!
