Businesses started Rockin’ the Earth early and often this month. During the first week of April, our friends at TKH Realty presented the organization with a check for over $9,000, representing 25% of the commissions earned by the firm on some recent real estate transactions. TKH Realty, a Denver real estate agency owned and operated by Tony and Karen Hinkel, admirably believe in the slogan “Give where you Live.” They don’t just talk the talk, but walk the walk, supporting more than a handful of Front Range charities through their real estate work. Over the past two years, TKH Realty has been one of Rock the Earth’s largest single donors and we greatly appreciate their generous support!
On April 12, we were fortunate enough to be selected by the employees of the Boulder Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop as the beneficiary of the company’s national Free Scoop Day! Volunteers from Rock the Earth and the Boulder community got their hands and arms sticky sweet for eight hours, happily scooping ice cream for all who wanted a some of Ben & Jerry’s incomparable product! All tips from free scoops, were donated to Rock the Earth, raising over $1,000 for the organization.
Meanwhile in Denver, for the tenth year in a row our friends and supporters at THE metro-Denver spot for all your metaphysical needs, Herbs and Arts, donated 20 percent of all in-store and online sales from Saturday, April 18 to Rock the Earth, raising over $600 for the organization.
Herbs and Arts wasn’t the only Denver business supporting Rock the Earth this Earth Month. TONIGHT (April 22) in Denver, Chef Troy Guard’s signature restaurant TAG, will be holding a fundraiser for Rock the Earth. For the third time in four years, 20% of all food sales from this standout establishment in Denver’s Larimer Square will be donated to the organization. So go to TAG tonight, eat well, and know that you’ll be Rockin’ the Earth.
Finally, in honor of Earth Day, we’re once again teaming up with guitar string recycler and rock jewelry creator, Wear Your Music to bring uniquely made and repurposed rock art to you while also raising some money for Rock the Earth on Earth Day. 10% of all net sales TODAY (April 22) will be donated to Rock the Earth! Meanwhile, Rock the Earth will also benefit from 100% of all net proceeds from the sale of particular artist’s guitar string bracelets, including: Brendan Bayliss, Jake Cinninger and Ryan Stasik (Umphrey’s McGee), Rodrigo y Gabriela, J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Mary Chapin Carpenter, Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), and others. So go buy some unique, repurposed rock jewelry and show the world how you Rock the Earth![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
