Building off the success of the last two years, last week we held our annual signature fundraiser in Denver: Colorado Dine Out for Earth. Headed up by our own Advisory Board Member and Celebrity Chef Charlie Ayers (Calafia Café, Google). We are happy to report this fourth iteration of the event was an unmitigated success, raising nearly $7000 for Rock the Earth!
Once again, we were able to attract the participation of top local culinary heroes: Justin Brunson (Old Major), Troy Guard (TAG, Guard & Grace), Tom Coohill (Coohills), Amos Watts (Acorn) and Chris Macgillivray (The Squeaky Bean). Held on Sunday, January 24, in Denver’s popular LoDo neighborhood at The Squeaky Bean, the dining experience also included locally-sourced beer donated by Great Divide Brewing Company (Denver, CO), wine from the Infinite Monkey Theorem (Denver, CO), and spirits from Woody Creek Distillers (Basalt, CO).
Over 80 people attended the third-year event in Denver, featuring a menu of food containing locally-derived ingredients, as well as a successful silent auction full of art, music memorabilia, concert tickets and outdoor gear.
Special thanks to all of the chefs who participated in this amazing event, and especially Chef Ayers and the Squeaky Bean team (Chris Macgillivray, Chris Straka and Kuviana Ax). Additional thanks to our wonderful sponsors: DJ Russo for adding music to the atmosphere, Elevation Cycles for the use of their store for the silent auction, and for all of the RtE volunteers who contributed their time in making the event a success!
Final thanks to the following who provided items for the event’s Silent Auction:
