ROCK THE EARTH CO-HOSTS EARTH DAY EVENTS AROUND THE U.S.
Rock the Earth Supports Activities in Major Cities, Including Chicago, Denver, New York and San Francisco, throughout April
Hosts Second Annual Amazing Rock the Earth Race
DENVER – April 17, 2014 – Rock the Earth, a national nonprofit environmental organization that partners with the music industry, today announced various events and volunteer opportunities planned across the country throughout the month of April to support Earth Day and Earth Month.
Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22, and brings local and global awareness to environmental protection. Each year, Rock the Earth organizes local events and businesses across the U.S. throughout April to encourage action for the cause.
“We have volunteers across the country organizing park and city cleanups, and other events and activities to help people give time or give back in support of a healthy and sustainable planet,” explained Marc Ross, executive director and founder of Rock the Earth. “For Rock the Earth, every day is Earth Day, but every April we get this fantastic opportunity to educate and mobilize the general public and generate even more interest in saving the planet. Together we rock the Earth a little more in April in an effort to expand Earth Day into Earth Month.”
